I couldn't find this with a quick Google search, so I thought I would post my new bit of knowledge here.
To remove Dykem use brake cleaner! It is available at any auto parts store, and is dirt cheap. I didn't want to buy a special "Dykem remover" solvent since this is a hobby and I probably won't go through it very fast. In my search to find an alternative I tried a number of solvents, but brake cleaner seems to remove Dykem better than any of them. Given that I do brake jobs on my own vehicles as well as for my friends and family, I always have some laying around. Be careful though as it can etch certain plastics readily.
